Century-Tywood Manufacturing, Inc. is a leading provider of fabricated sheet metal, machined components, stampings, and electro-mechanical assemblies.  Located in Holliston Massachusetts in our 100,000 sqft state-of-the-art facilities, Century-Tywood has been providing OEM’s and Contract Manufacturers with high-quality parts and assemblies for over 70 years.

History

Century-Tywood was founded back in 1949 by Joseph (Ty) Tiberio.  Named Century Manufacturing at the time, Century specialized in precision tool and dies and metal stampings.

Ty, one of 14 children, graduated from Wakefield high school and began working as a machinist. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted as a Navy flight engineer and gunner. Throughout the course of his service, Ty completed 50 reconnaissance missions in the Pacific theater, returning to the U.S to train future pilots in Charleston, South Carolina.

With the growth of the computer industry back in the 70’s, Ty established  Tywood Corporation, concentrating on the design and manufacture of fabricated sheet metal.

Over the years the companies merged into one to become Century-Tywood Manufacturing and expanded into machined components and a Fiber Optics division.

In 2000 Century-Tywood built a 100,000 sqft facility at our current location at 79 Lowland Street.  Having guided Century-Tywood through the Dot Com bust and the Great Recession, Century-Tywood emerged as one of the premier Sheet Metal Fabricators in the New England Region.

In 2013, Ty Passed away at the age of 91 leaving the daily operation in the hands of his trusted Management team, who have continued Ty’s pursuit to be a benchmark facility and leader in the local metal fabrication industry.

Today we serve an expansive range of industries, from automotive to biomedical to Homeland Security. Employing a staff of over 80 people, including many longtime, managers, highly skilled engineers, sheet metal mechanics and machinists who together provide best in class products and customer service to our customers.
