Century-Tywood J3 Corp specializes in close tolerance sheet metal fabrication. Our objective in any project we start, from simple brackets to multiple part assemblies, is to ensure that we take the time to understand exactly what our customer needs.
We take this approach with the goal of creating every part we make right the first time, not just from a quality perspective but to also create a process that delivers the same quality part consistently throughout its life cycle.
As an ISO 9000:2015 registered company, we are focused on developing and maintaining a quality system to match our expertise in engineering and fabrication. It’s not just the years of experience that matter, it’s what we do with them, which is why we are constantly working at improving our manufacturing operations. All of which means that we deliver consistently high-quality products manufactured to customer specifications when you need it.
What is close tolerance sheet metal
Really thin metal that requires a hole to hole or hole to edge dimension to fall within .001 plus or minus of their specified dimension on a blueprint, (which aren’t really blue BTW).
We work with material from .010 to .250 thick in all standard materials such as Cold Rolled Steel, Stainless and Aluminum as well as copper and brass.
Offering complete fabrication services from laser cutting and punching to welding and soldering, our 90,000 plus square foot manufacturing facility offers not only sheet metal fabrication but machining, stamping, and electromechanical assembly.
Sheet Metal Capabilities
Century-Tywood has a wide range of equipment to meet customer manufacturing needs. From Laser Cutting and NC. Turret Punches to Forming, Hardware Insertion, Spotwelding, Soldering, Welding and Finishing, Century-Tywood is able to do it all. We have produced parts smaller than a fingernail to parts as large as 8′ x 2′ panels with intricate forming and welding.
High Mix – Low Volume Production
We make a high mix of products at low volume quantities in a production environment. We make these low volumes to minimize your risk to inventory and increased flexibility. We have these capabilities because of our commitment to Lean Manufacturing and the investments made by Century-Tywood to train our staff in Lean Methodology and transform our operation from a traditional batch manufacturer to a Flexible Cellular Manufacturer.
