We recently introduced a new leader and, as a result, ushered in the next era of our business. Andrew Slifka took on his role as President and Principal at Century-Tywood in December. With his arrival, he brought years of experience in leading successful teams and a vision for the future of our business.

Under new direction, our teams will continue doing what they do best, all while thinking critically about ways we can constantly move forward as a company. And most importantly, Century-Tywood will continue to provide our customers with the valuable outcomes they’ve come to expect from us.

We’ve worked hard to improve our own operations. One of our major initiatives we’d like to share involves hiring highly qualified people. By paying our team members competitive wages and offering them adequate training, we are increasing our in-house productivity.

As we’ve improved our own internal efficiency, we’ve been able to create shorter lead times for our customers. What’s more, streamlining our operations has opened up some capacity on our end, so it’s a great time for customers to request a quote!

From fabrication to inspection to secondary operations and so on, a single part might go through five different departments. Internal collaboration is necessary to meeting a customer’s quality demands and getting the job done in a timely manner.

We handle a number of services in-house, but we outsource finishing operations such as painting and plating services. We have strong connections with preferred external partners, and we maintain an open line of communication with these outside resources to ensure we are exceeding our customers’ expectations regarding quality and timeliness.
